Museum of Art

A professional tour guide will take your guests on an unforgettable tour of the magnificent Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, located in the heart of the city’s arts and entertainment district.

The museum houses an outstanding permanent collection of American and European contemporary art, Picasso ceramics and contemporary Cuban art; a comprehensive collection of American impressionist William Glackens; and one of the country's largest collections of works by the CoBrA artists (from Copenhagen, Brussels and Amsterdam).

Recent large-scale exhibitions included “Diana, a Celebration,” “Saint Peter and the Vatican: The Legacy of the Popes,” and “TutanKhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs.” Not only do your guests get to view the paintings, but they also get to use their own artistic skills. The Studio Arts Program offers courses in drawing, painting, design, and other art forms. The adult classes are in the evening and Wednesday afternoons, and are supervised by professional artists.
